Once we have received your application form, you will receive an acknowledgement from the College. Full-time applicants may be invited for an interview and where appropriate, part-time and day-release applicants may also have the opportunity to attend an interview.
The interview is informal and gives you a further opportunity to find out if this course is the right choice for you. It also allows the course leader to assess your suitability for the course.
At interview, we check that you have appropriate entry requirements for the level to which you have applied, so that you will be able to cope with the demands of the course.Interview Checklist

Offer of a Place on the Course
Following your interview the Course Co-ordinator will write to you with one of the following offers:

1 Unconditional offer: this means you have definitely been accepted onto the course and all you need to do now is return the Letter of Offer (Part B) accepting the offer.
2 Conditional offer: this will specify what further requirements you need to be accepted onto this course. Once you have met these requirements, contact the College and inform us of your new status.
3 Reserve offer: this means we are unable to make you a conditional or unconditional offer at this time, but will reconsider your application at the ‘clearing’ stage.
4 Rejection: this means you have been unsuccessful with your application. Please contact Student Support Services on 0141 272 3636 and we will help you choose another learning opportunity.

Employment Options
The HND has a strong managerial focus which enables candidates to progress more quickly to supervisory/management roles. In addition, HND candidates, through their choice of options, will be able to prepare for a career (or further studies) in a number of specialist areas, for example, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Financial Services.
