Govanhill Campus

The Govanhill Campus is the newest addition to Langside College. Opened in August 2006, this small friendly campus is based in Samaritan House in Coplaw Street and was set up in conjunction Govanhill Housing Association as part of the recent conversion of the old Samaritan Hospital.

In its short life, this friendly supportive environment has welcomed nearly 200 people from the Govanhill and east Pollokshields area. Each of whom wanted to get back into learning or take the first steps towards employment.

Students choose from a menu of introductory classes, including English Language courses, Basic Skills, Computing, First Aid and Beauty Therapy courses in its very own salon.

The campus regularly offers specially designed courses for those wanting to build up their self confidence as well as gain SQA certificates.
